Keep in touch
We've made getting in touch by e-mail very easy. There are no complicated e-mail addresses to remember. All you need to do is type in the leaders pack name, e.g. Baloo then add @2ndbracknell.co.uk. Failing that, click on Contact us and complete our enquiry form.

Spring term : Programme : Weekend camp

Welcome
We are delighted to welcome Lorraine Clark to 2nd Bracknell. She will be helping us out at Stags and has chosen the jungle book name Lahini.

50th birthday camp
As part of our 50 years celebration we will be taking the whole group to camp at the end of July 2010. We have 34 Cubs on the guest list, with 15 doing the mini-camp for the first part of the week. There are also some 38 Scouts coming to camp so it will be quite a crowd. We'll keep you posted as camp approaches.

Gang Show: Tuesday 16 February
We still have a number of tickets for our visit to the Gang Show at half term. If your Cub and/or you and your family would like to join us, please let Kali know the number of tickets you would like as soon as possible. More details can be found  at http://www.2ndbracknell.co.uk/events/gangshow.doc. The show has a website at http://www.sebgangshow.org.uk.
This is an event that we try to attend every year and this year we have several members of 2nd Bracknell in the cast and we are looking forward to seeing them in action. It is a very enjoyable and entertaining evening and if you do join us, I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

Camping Skills – Weekend Camp 26 – 28 February (limited places)
As many of you know, in 2nd Bracknell Cubs we like to try and have at least one night away event each term and this term is no exception! Our nights away event this year is an indoor camp at Earleywood Campsite in Ascot from Friday 26th February to Sunday 28th February. We will be sleeping on the floor in the Scout Centre and we have a wide range of activities planned. The camp will start after tea on Friday evening (so you need to have something to eat before you come!) and end on Sunday afternoon. The cost of the camp will be £25, and includes the accommodation, all meals from Saturday breakfast through to Sunday lunch and all the activities. You can reserve your place by emailing Baloo, but your reservation won’t be confirmed until your leader has received a deposit of £10, to secure your place.
We now have 24 Cubs on our guest list. If you are one of them please complete and return a health form. You may also need the kit list and joining instructions.

Group T-Shirts
The Cub
Uniform includes an optional green polo shirt but we would prefer you to wear our blue group T-shirt. New t-shirt stock is now available with sizes up to age 12-13. Cub sized shirts cost £6 each and are ideal for wear in the Summer Term instead of your sweatshirt.

Fund raising the easy way
2nd Bracknell has joined the "buy.at" network which means that we earn commission on things you buy online if you go through our online shop at http://buy.at/2ndbracknell. You'll find over 100 retailers there including M&S, HMV, play.com, Amazon, Thorntons, Expedia and Waterstones. You pay the normal website price so you can raise money for us without spending a penny extra.

See our Welcome Guide for more information about being a Cub Scout.

Scout Shop
If you need uniform then the Scout Shop is the place to go. The
Scout Shop page has more details and includes a map showing how to get there.

e-notes
We try to provide electronic copies of our notes when possible. We call them e-notes and you'll find a list of the current ones on the menu bar at the left of the page. All of these notes are in Word format.

If you are new to Cubs you may find our Welcome Guide useful. We also have some frequently asked questions such as what is the Law and Promise and a chart to show where the badges go.

Badge Requirements
We don't publish the requirements for badges on our site. To find the appropriate links to Scoutbase see the "Badges & Awards" link at the left of each page.
