Tea House
Thanks to all that supported us when we were fundraising at the Tea House on 5 November. We made about £100 for group funds and collected an amazing £325.19 for the Poppy Appeal. We were joined by William and Ella from Beavers, Aiden, Aaron, James and Finlay from Cubs, Chris, Sophie, Rhys, Liam, Tom, James and Matthew from Scouts and Abi and Rob from Explorers.

South East Berks Gang Show
We're pleased to report that members from 2nd Bracknell Scout Group are participating in this years South East Berks Gang Show being held at South Hill Park during half term. If you'd like to attend, tickets are available from the box office on 01344 484123 or take a look at the South Hill Park web site.

Don't forget us when you are shopping for a bargain

You'll briefly see a page which tells you that you’re leaving Spend and Raise and entering the retailer’s website. After that, you browse and shop as usual. If you make a purchase, commission is generated and given back to our eStore. To find out how much commission you can earn for each retailer, visit the ‘Retailer A-Z’ on the site. Remember that it can sometimes take a few days for the commission to show in our shop.

2nd Bracknell Active Support
In line with national policy, our Fellowship has now been re-branded as Scout Active Support. Details of our future events are included in the group diary with instructions on how to reserve a place on our Active Support page.

Barry's bus
Barry Smith was Akela at 2nd Bracknell for over 30 years. You can see our tribute to him online and him in action via our Past Events page. When he died in 2005 he left the group some money which we used to buy a minibus. Barry's programme was always full of trips out with small groups to the seaside and museums so we think he'd approve.
If our group isn't already using it we are happy to hire our minibus to other local Scout or Guide groups. For more information please complete our enquiry form.

Thanks to around 75% of the group that have registered their Subs payments for Gift Aid we claimed £1146 in 2007. That's the equivalent of 2 Christmas Fairs, 5 sponsored walks or 10 jumble sales. It's easy money for us so if you haven't registered for Gift Aid - or would like to check whether you have or not, please see the Gift Aid e-note or contact our Treasurer.
