The
District Scout Shop is located at Coopers Hill Youth and
Community Centre near Bracknell Station as you can see from
the map.
It is open every Monday during school term time from 7.30 to
9pm.
A
message from Margaret Kemp - Scout Shop Manager
"We are now opening every Monday in term time again.
In order to do this we are asking people to go on a rota
to help at the shop, with every group putting forward the
name of (at least) one person to help us. They do not need
to have any experience as we will train them, and if we
have a good response it will not involve many Monday evenings
for each volunteer. You will be needed from 7.30pm to 9.00pm
(free cup of tea or coffee provided!) Please ask at the
shop for further information".
When
you purchase items from the Scout Shop all the profits are
divided out between the groups in the District. Don't forget
to say that you belong to 2nd Bracknell. You should get
a discount and we get commission on your sale (a sort of
loyalty bonus). The dividend for 2004/05 was worth almost
£100 to 2nd Bracknell.
In
addition to uniform you can also buy publications, camping
equipment, rucksacks, sleeping bags, camp blankets and various
Scouting gifts. It is also the place that the badges come
from although only leaders are allowed to buy them.
Payment can be by cash or cheque but the Scout Shop does not
accept debit or credit cards.
The
Scout Shop is managed by Margaret
Kemp.
