2005/06 Points Competition

Our Simpson Cup Competition runs through the winter months. At the end of the Autumn Term the highest scoring six win a bowling trip. The scores then continue to be added to until we get to the end of the competition at Easter.
Brown six won both parts of the competition in 2004/05 but who will it be this year? At the Christmas break it was Grey who had stormed into the lead and won the bowling trip. The Spring term was more keenly fought with Black six catching up fast. However, Grey six managed to keep their lead and won by 134 points. Well done.

At the end of each month we present the "Six of the Month" shield to the winning Sixer. The shield is displayed on the notice board and includes a band in the six colour so that everybody can see who was best last month.

We give 10 points per person for each Cub sitting in their sixes when we are ready to start the meeting at 6.30. Most weeks we start with Inspection where more points are on offer. We look for many things including smart scarves, badges sewn on in the right places and clean hands. The other points come from games, attending Church Parade and from being the "first six ready"

2004/5 Points Competition

We changed the competition slightly so that it ran from October through to Easter. The winners at the Christmas half way point were Browns and it appeared that nothing could stop them as they went on to win the overall competition.

2003 Points Competition

At the end of the year it was success for White six - snatching the trophy from Black six who were just 57 points behind.

2002 Points Competition

It was rather a runaway success for Grey six - an amazing 623 points ahead of their nearest rival - Black six.
